Please reach us at info@mujeresvalley.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Mujeres Valley Campground is located in Cibola County, New Mexico between Zuni Pueblo and Acoma Pueblo not far from the Arizona border. The venue is located 2 hours from Albuquerque and 1 1/2 hours south of Gallup, New Mexico. If none of this rings a bell you can always map the directions to us from your location HERE.
The drive from the Albuquerque Support Airport straight to the campground is 2 hours. We like to tell people 2 1/2 - 3 hours so you allocate time to stop and eat, stretch your legs and grab some snacks.
There are no cabins for rent on the Mujeres Valley Campground, currently the campground is raw (this means there are no structures on the property).
There are a limited number of tents to rent for the weekend of the Freedom Festival, please contact us via email to reserve your tent with us.
Yes. The campground has outdoor showers powered by a propane water heater so you can have hot water while you shower! We don't have any built structures but portable bathrooms will be available during the dates of the event at no extra charge. Access to the event includes access to showers, water for showers & drinking, plus bathrooms.
Limited cell phone services are available in select areas on the campground. If you are arriving to the campground from Grants, NM the last place you will have strong cell service is at La Ventana. The carrier that provides the best cell service is T-Mobile. Once you're on the campground you will have the option to connect to our private wi-fi service for an additional fee.
We do not have running (plumbed) water, this venue is considered "dry camping". However, the owners do provide fresh water from the homestead well. This water has tested at a CLEAN 7.3pH. Please make sure your RV's have full water tanks when you arrive, the venue has a limited space & capability to full a large number of RV's or campers. Please make sure you communicate the need for water prior to arriving for your scheduled visit.
Personal grills and fires are not allowed but if you are bringing your own RV, camper or van that is set up to cook you're welcome to cook in your structure. This is subject to change based on the state fire requirements.
Pets are definitely allowed! We do ask that you use discretion when walking your pets off the leash. The campground does not have a full fence and we are surrounded by residential neighbors. Additionally, there are wild animals in this area. Please use extra caution when bringing your small animals and pick up after your pet and pack out your trash.
Service animals are allowed, welcomed and supported at Mujeres Valley. Please clean up after them and let the coordinators or volunteers know if there are any issues with other animals at the event so we can ensure you and your service animal are supported.
We welcome people of all ages to come and explore and enjoy nature with us!
YES WE ARE! The owners believe the cannabis plant to be a sacred and medicinal herb. We welcome the safe usage of cannabis & plant medicine on the campground.
YES WE ARE! We welcome all people who support BIPOC and/or are disenfranchised by our law enforcement system or government.
